Do you teach beginners and people who have never sung?
Yes, of course, we teach from beginner to advanced.
Do you teach adults as well as children?
Yes. Our main age range for private vocal coaching is 10-60 years young. We have a couple that is younger and a couple that are older. We are open to teaching anybody of any age and any level whether male or female. With private classes starting from age 8.
How do I pay for my lesson?
All casual and one off lessons must be booked and paid via our online booking system. Alternatively, cash and credit card will be accepted on the day of your lesson.
Package and Term lessons must be paid upfront, either cash, credit card or bank transfer. Please contact MWVS if you have any questions. NB If you sign up to one of our packages or term based lessons, you are guaranteed an allocated weekly time slot.
EXCEPTION FOR CASUALS (DROP IN): For those who wish to come occasionally or for a one-off you are able to book in lessons where ever spots are available. Casuals are not allocated regular weekly times or days but instead fit in around the regular students where possible times, days are free and they pay for the lesson on a PAYG higher casual rate.
Do you have a Cancellation Policy?
Due to a growing waitlist, the 24hour cancellation & no-show policy will be strictly enforced.
Students must give 24hours notice to cancel or change a booked lesson or they will be charged the full fee for that lesson. Lessons can be changed or cancelled directly online or SMS Matt Ward Vocal Studios on 0416 271 018 up to 24hours of the booked lesson.
All students will receive SMS & email reminders of lessons. No refunds, credits or make-up lessons will be given for No-shows or cancellations after the 24hour period.
What do I have to bring to my lesson?
A bottle of water is a must and a positive mindset.
Do you teach 2 people or groups?
In general, our private vocal coaching lessons are one on one. For those, wanting groups classes Check out our Group Class page with all the details.
Can parents stay to watch and listen?
We find that when a parent stays with a student learning a lot of children will close up and not learn as well. We suggest to most parents to drop off their children or wait outside. Parents should not be seen or express an opinion during the lesson as it interrupts the child's learning. Parents upon prior request are able to sit in and watch/listen to their child's progress if all parties feel comfortable doing so to which we welcome this at the end of the lesson.
Do I have to book my lessons Online or can I call the studio to book?
You can do either. Our new online booking system is available 24hrs/7 days a week. Here you can book, move & cancel your lessons.
Do you offer TRIAL LESSONS?
NO
Do your teachers have a blue card to work with children?
Yes we all do. We have a positive notice blue card for child-related employment.

MWVS studios are located at Unit 5B/13 Upton St, Bundall Gold Coast.
